Some of our frequently asked questions
Do I have to wear a leotard?
Not unless you'd like to! In our classes we wear activewear.
You will only need to wear a leotard if you decide to compete in any competitions, and there are competition leggings and bike shorts you can chose to wear with your leotard if you'd like to. Neon Dancewear supply all of APDAs leotards, bike shorts and leggings. There are beautiful many style and colour options to choose from (and of course, bling can be added to them!) so you will never have a problem finding an outfit that makes you feel fabulous and competition ready. Do I have to compete in competitions? |
Competitions are not a compulsory part of physie. We encourage all members to compete during the year because it is truely such an exciting experience, however, at the end of the day the decision is entirely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. There are options to compete as an individual, as a team, or both!
Am I too old/inexperienced for physie?
Never! Our classes and syllabus cater to ALL ages and abilities. We have classes for Tiny Tots right through to our Masters 60+ section. APDA has members in their 70s and Club 2000 has members who have been with us for over 20 years!

Is physie expensive?
Physie is a much more affordable dance sport than traditional dance, and as a non-profit community club we keep our fees as low as possible. For more information on our fees, request our 2023 Info Package.
